Conceptual Brand Identity Design - 2021

Our goal from the start was for Donburi Kitchen to be a place where everyone in the communities we serve could come to appreciate authentic Japanese cuisine. We hold ourselves to providing a positive food experience with high quality, delicious ingredients.

About the Brand

It began with a young couple who immigrated from Japan to Seattle, bringing along their self-taught recipes from home in hopes of starting their own restaurant. Today they celebrate having served Washington for 40 years, and with much more to come.

This trio of high-contrast colors creates the sense of powerful flavors. Vivid red stands out when paired with the neutrals of cream and off-black; evoking an appetite in viewers, and thus increasing the potential of gaining a new customer.
